The second IROWG ROMEX (ROMEX-2) Workshop took place on February 25–27, 2025, at EUMETSAT Headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany.
A total of 64 participants (34 in person, 30 remotely) from 40 international government agencies, NWP centers, data processing centers, research institutes, and universities attended the event. Discussions and presentations focused on:
- ROMEX-related NWP impact studies and applications
- Bias and uncertainty assessments
- Data processing updates
- Effective presentation of ROMEX results to stakeholders and decision-makers
- Status and plans of relevant RO missions
- Other relevant research and developments
The workshop featured 28 oral presentations and two discussion sessions, dedicated to consolidating ROMEX findings and finalizing the report and recommendations for CGMS.
