Subscription

General IROWG Email List

To subscribe to the general IROWG mailing list:

New subscriptions are moderated by the co-chairs and may take 1–2 days to be approved. Once your subscription is approved, you will receive a confirmation email from the mailing list.

IROWG Subgroup Email Lists

IROWG may establish subgroup mailing lists to facilitate communication within specific subgroups. Each subgroup mailing list requires a separate subscription. You can subscribe to and manage these lists through the mailing list website, where you can also access the corresponding archives.

If you are a member of an IROWG subgroup, you are strongly encouraged to subscribe to the general IROWG mailing list in addition to the relevant subgroup list. Please note that subscribing to a subgroup mailing list does not automatically subscribe you to the general IROWG mailing list, and vice versa.

Currently, there are four subgroup mailing lists. The respective subgroup leads serve as the moderators:

Visit https://lists.irowg.org, select the email list, and manage your subscription or unsubscribe from the list page. This is the preferred method for managing your subscriptions.

General Rules for Sending Announcements to the IROWG Email List

Announcements relevant to the entire IROWG community can be sent to announcements@lists.irowg.org. Messages sent to this address will be forwarded to all members of the general IROWG mailing list.

If your message is relevant only to a specific subgroup, please send it to the appropriate subgroup mailing list instead. The general IROWG mailing list and subgroup mailing lists are managed independently, and there is no automatic overlap between their memberships.

To post a message, you must first subscribe to the corresponding mailing list following the instructions above. Messages from non-subscribers will be rejected, and the sender will receive a notification.

Alternatively, you may ask an existing member of the appropriate mailing list to post the announcement on your behalf. If you need assistance, please contact the IROWG co-chairs at co-chairs@lists.irowg.org.

Note: The mailing lists are maintained by EUMETSAT and hosted on a third-party server. As a result, some automated emails, notifications, or subscription instructions may reference EUMETSAT and/or the underlying mailing-list server.
